Christopher A. Zampogna, Esq. has joined the Board of Directors of the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation.

The founding member of Zampogna, PC (zampognalaw.com), he been in practice of law since 1992 beginning his career as a law clerk for a Superior Court Judge in Ft. Wayne Indiana. He then returned to his hometown of Buffalo, New York to work for a general practice law firm before joining the Erie County, New York prosecutor’s office as an Assistant District Attorney, successfully prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases. He left for the private sector to join a Western New York law firm as a senior associate and developed their employment law section. Mr. Zampogna later moved to Washington DC to join a franchise and commercial litigation law firm; and subsequently formed Zampogna, P.C. in Washington in 2001.  

The practice has focused on litigation including appeals in the civil and criminal courts.  However, he has also conducted many mediations and arbitrations in securities disputes or investor rights. He has brought cases before FINRA in arbitration forums. He currently heads the District of Columbia Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution and lectures on this topic and published a white paper on ADR comparison between US and an International NGO in the employment context. Chris Immediate Past President of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia and is editor in chief of its Publication, The Journal of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (www.badc.org). He is a member of the Barristers Club of Washington, D.C.

He has participated as a judge in the New York State Committee for ADR international competition in New York City.   He serves also as a delegate at large for the Bar Association of DC before the American Bar Association house of delegates (ABA) and is an ABA Fellow as well. He has been in the legal field for more than two decades and has received the nomination and recognition as one of “America’s Best Lawyers.”  He has been featured in American Airlines magazine for his knowledge in the field of fraud.  He has also taught in the complex litigation fields at Georgetown University and Catholic University Columbus School of Law. 

Mr.Zampogna graduated from the Notre Dame Law School and earned his undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame as well. He enjoys motorcycle riding, skiing and tough mudder races.  He also enjoys volunteering for and working with the Elderly, via the Legal Counsel fro the Elderly in DC.  He lives in the DC area with his wife Karin.
