Church of the Resurrection in Burtonsville, Maryland tipped the scales today with their donation of 1,600 cans and packages of food to the JSM Summer Campaign. With a dozen churches participating, we are now well over 10,000 cans this summer…and we are not finished!
Pictured here celebrating are Resurrection’s Margaret Pratt, Beth Amenabar and Helene Stever. These ladies not only collected and packed up the donation, but they accompanied us all the way to Southeast Washington to unload these great gifts!
Churches from Barnesville, Laurel, Silver Spring, Rockville, Potomac, among other locales, have all enthusiastically supported our mission this summer to ease the burden our inner city neighbors face in everyday life – with something as simple as a meal!
