The 2019 Lenten Food Drive has drawn to a close, with over 37,000 cans of food collected from 10 churches and 2 high schools and Greystone..
Many thanks to St. Stephen Martyr, Annunciation, Blessed Sacrament, Our Lady of Victory, St. Augustine, St. Thomas Apostle, Holy Comforter-St. Cyprian, Epiphany Georgetown — all in the District; as well as St. Peter Olney and St. Jerome Hyattsville. This was just a part of the annual food drive held throughout the Archdiocese of Washington by Catholic Charities.
Also, two of our high schools — Academy of the Holy Cross and Elizabeth Seton had great drives, and our top corporate sponsor, Greystone Servicing Corporation, dedicated their Day of Service to our Campaign.
All of our pantries were fully stocked at the conclusion of the campaign and we thank all for their generosity and hard work,
