Mack A. Kennedy has joined the Board of Directors of the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation.

Mr. Kennedy is no stranger to the Foundation; several days each week, he drives from his home in Columbia, Maryland to our pantry at St. Thomas More in Southeast Washington to oversee the operations of our largest and neediest pantry, which very often serves up to 100 families each week.

Mack boasts more than 40 years in law enforcement, including 29 years with the U.S. Capitol Police, from which he retired as Acting Deputy Chief, after serving as Inspector and Commander of several divisions, including Training, Dignitary Protection, Patrol, and Criminal Investigations. He also served with the U.S. Court of Appeals/Federal Circuit and the U.S. Marshals Service. He received his B.A. and M.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. Kennedy is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and a Fellow, International Association of Chiefs of Police. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the UK and Germany during the Vietnam era.

“Mack Kennedy has been a member of our Family since shortly after we started,” stated Brian M. Mulholland, Chairman of the Board and President of the Foundation. “No one has a greater love and care for the poor than Mack; he embraces our mission; he brings inspiration and passion to our work.”

We are delighted to officially welcome Mr. Kennedy to leadership of our Foundation.
