More than 200 revelers gathered in the ballroom of The Willard Hotel on Friday, November 19, 2021 for the 8th “Capital Evening” to benefit the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation.
In 8 years, and in support of five food pantries which provide supplementary food assistance to 750 families in the District of Columbia each month, the Foundation has collected and delivered 1.2Million cans of food and 52 tons of fresh produce, milk and eggs, meat and poultry.
Brian M. Mulholland and S. Patrick Mulholland, Chairman of the Board and President, respectively, presented awards to 12 individuals or organizations for their largesse at the Foundation’s only major fund raising event each year.
Around glistening tableware enhanced by the splendor of Caruso Florist centerpieces, guests dined on a three course meal masterfully created by the hotel’s executive chef, Luca DeMarchis.
The mood was festive due, in large part, to Robin and Rick Gordon’s Radio King Orchestra, who entertained throughout the evening.
