The John S. Mulholland Family Foundation (MulhollandFamily.org) has announced that Kimberly Davis-Riffe, CPA, a native of the Washington Region, and a Senior Partner with KPMG LLP (kpmg.com), has joined the Board of Directors.

Davis-Riffe is responsible for KPMG’s National Financial Services Advisory Practice, focusing on Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management.  She began her career thirty years ago, and continues to specialize in Residential Housing Finance, Operations and Regulation.  Kimberly received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information Systems with a minor in Marketing from Virginia Tech and her Executive MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. 

Kimberly has served and continues to serve a variety of charitable organizations, supporting causes near and dear to her and her family.  She served on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, National Capital Chapter for over ten years.  Additionally, she serves on the Executive Board of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s National Capital Chapter,  for the past five years.  Kimberly is also very actively involved in her alma mater Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.  There, she serves in the following capacities: 

Accounting and Information Systems Advisory Board Member, Pamplin College of Business, and Curriculum Committee Chair; Alumni Advisory Council Board Member, Virginia Tech’s Office of Student Affairs and Campaign Committee Chair; Founder, The Davis Endowment for Student Advocacy; Supports Underrepresented Classes by assisting these students in their adjustment from home to collegiate life, by enhancing their student experience while at Virginia Tech and by assisting with their transition into the professional world, particularly through mental health and diversity support programs; and Founding Member, IWILL (Inspiring Women In Lifelong Leadership), a mentorship program assisting women student leaders’ transition from student life into their professional lives within their chosen fields. 

In recognition of Davis-Riffe’s contributions to Virginia Tech, she was the recipient of the 2021 Ut Prosim (“So That I May Serve”) Alumni Award, and she has been indoctrinated into the University’s Ut Prosim Society for investment of time, spirit and financial resources. 

In recognition of Kimberly’s contributions to the Housing Industry, she was recognized in HousingWire’s 2014 annual publication “The Top Ten Women of Influence” along with Janet Yellen of The Federal Reserve, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Senator Elizabeth Warren. 

Kimberly and her son, Haydn “Davis” Riffe, reside in McLean, Virginia. Davis is a pilot now studying Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona. 

Kimberly has already embraced the mission of the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation by becoming an Underwriting Sponsor of A Capital Evening IX, the Foundation’s single major fundraising event each year, and agreeing to serve as one of the co-chairs of the Silent Auction Portion of the Gala. The Foundation looks forward to her leadership in this and other areas of our work.
