John S. Mulholland Family Foundation is pleased to announce the 10th Annual Summer in the City food drive, the only major food drive in the region each summer, at a time when food insecurity is at its peak. 20 area churches will participate in the campaign over the course of the summer. They are:
St. Mary in Barnesville; St. Paul in Damascus; St. Francis Assisi in Derwood; Holy Cross in Garrett Park; St. Jerome in Hyattsville; St. Peter in Olney; Our Lady of Mercy in Potomac; St. Mary in Rockville; St. Bernadette, St. Andrew Apostle, and Our Lady of Grace in Silver Spring; and Blessed Sacrament, St. Thomas Apostle, St. Matthew’s Cathedral, Our Lady of Victory, St. Ann, St. Stephen Martyr, Epiphany, St. Augustine, and Annunciation in the District.
Non-perishable food will be collected and distributed to food pantries in the most needy parts of our city and monetary donations, used to purchase fresh produce, milk and eggs, meat and poultry can be made by visiting jsmff.org.
