John S. Mulholland 10th Anniversary Gala A Great Success.
More than 300 guests reveled in the Grand Ballroom of the Ritz-Carlton Washington on Friday, November 17, 2023 to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation.
After cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction of just under 100 items, the guests — prominent Washingtonians all — feasted on a sumptuous three course dinner prepared by renowned Chef Gael Cruchet, at tables adorned by Caruso Florist, and danced to the always energetic and entertaining Radio King Orchestra.
The evening was emceed by JSM President S. Patrick Mulholland, who recognized major donors Sharon Briskman, the Victor & Pearl Tumpeer Foundation, Christina & Brian Mangino, and Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The guests heard a compelling message from JSM Chairman Brian M. Mulholland, who later presented the John S. Mulholland Lifetime Achievement Award to Rick Gannon, Chairman of the Greg Gannon Canned Food Drive, and JSM Board Member of the Year to Leah V. Durant, J.D.
John S. Mulholland Family Foundation, established in 2013 to honor WWII hero and FBI veteran John S. Mulholland, now serves 8 pantries in 4 of the District of Columbia’s 8 wards through the John S. Mulholland Central Pantry in the Brookland community of Northeast Washington. JSM remains committed to serving the food insecure, working poor of Washington with respect, dignity, and love, through a 100% grassroots volunteer organization.
